Our ANSI 207 Safety Vests Meet the new standard for ANSI November 24 2008.
The public safety vest standard, or ANSI 207, was created in response to public safety user groups’ demand for a high visibility safety vest that differentiated from ANSI/ISEA 107-2004. The primary concern was flexibility of design that would provide first responders with capabilities not available on ANSI 107 safety vests. The required amount of background material, 450 square inches, is less than the amount required for the ANSI 107 standards of 775 square inches. The required amount of reflective material is the same for both standards ( 201 square inches)
