High Visibility Hoodies — ANSI Class 2 & Class 3 Reflective Hooded Sweatshirts
Safety Smart Gear carries ANSI/ISEA 107-certified high visibility hoodies for construction workers, highway crews, and anyone requiring a compliant hi vis layer with hood coverage. Hi vis hoodies — also called hooded safety sweatshirts — are a popular layering garment for cool-weather job sites where a vest or jacket alone isn't enough warmth. Available in ANSI Class 2, Class 3, and Enhanced Visibility (non-ANSI) configurations in ANSI yellow/green and orange.
What ANSI class does a hi vis hoodie need to be? ANSI Class 2 hoodies provide a minimum of 775 sq. in. of background material and are suitable for most construction and general industry applications. Class 3 hoodies meet the higher 1,240 sq. in. requirement and are specified for roadway workers near higher-speed traffic. Enhanced visibility hoodies provide bright color without meeting formal ANSI measurement requirements — suitable for lower-hazard or off-road environments.
