Hi vis sweatshirt vs. hi vis hoodie — what's the difference? A sweatshirt is a crewneck (no hood) fleece or cotton-blend pullover; a hoodie has a drawstring hood. Both can meet ANSI/ISEA 107 standards. Some safety programs prefer sweatshirts because a pulled-up hood can obscure hard hats and hearing protection.
